How we started

Lid Leash founders love the outdoors.  Need to find them?  Well, then head to the ocean.  Their famous line is, "Bring what you are willing to lose."  Well, after too many hats went missing and sunburnt faces, out of necessity they fabricated the Lid Leash.  Since then, they haven't lost a hat in the biggest of waves or the windiest of days.

Why Lid Leash?

Lid Leash does exactly that, keeps your hat on your head.  That is exactly where it is supposed to be.  Lid Leash allows you to wear your favorite hat and not worry about losing it.  It is simple to apply, transferable, inconspicuous, and very comfortable.  It secures your favorite hat to your head without having to clip it to your shirt or alter your hat in anyway.  It is a win any way you look at it!

“I am always concerned about how much sun exposure I am getting.  I'd wear my hat prepared to lose it.  Now thanks to Lid Leash, I can wear my hat every time I am canoe surfing or just paddling I never worry about losing it or getting too much sun, just the huli that may happen.”

“ I always wanted to wear a  hat while I was surfing, but didn't like the way the surf hats looked.  Lid Leash allows me to wear my own hat, look cool, and not worry about losing my hat.”

“Fishing in windy Wyoming always has the risk of your hat ending up downwind or down river.  Lid Leash secures my lid and the only thing I have to worry about it setting the hook.”
